Tame The Rooster is a modern country band from New York’s Capital region, blending contemporary Nashville country with the energy, grit, and musicianship of a seasoned live band. Drawing from country, rock, blues, and pop, Tame The Rooster has developed a sound that is distinctly its own, built around powerful vocals, dynamic arrangements, tight musicianship, and an undeniable connection with the crowd.
Known locally by some as “The Rooster,” guitarist and vocalist Mike Richardson possesses a lifelong background as a songwriter, performer, and recording artist. Richardson has shared the stage with nationally recognized artists including Reba McEntire, Randy Houser, Tyler Farr, Easton Corbin, Ashley Cooke, and many others. While his experience and vision helped establish the foundation of Tame The Rooster, the identity of the band is defined by the chemistry, talent, and commitment of the musicians who share the stage with him.
Hannah Estelle brings a commanding voice, natural stage presence, and a contemporary country sensibility to the band. A gifted vocalist and musician in her own right, she combines power with nuance and a natural musical instinct that extends well beyond the microphone. Her range, versatility, and musicianship make her an integral part of the band’s sound and live performance.
Luke Pavlus brings exceptional versatility as both a lead guitarist and vocalist. His melodic guitar work combines taste, grit, and precision, while his ability to step to the microphone and take the lead brings yet another dimension vocally and allows the group to move comfortably across an unusually broad range of music.
John DonVito anchors the low end with rock solid bass work, strong vocals, and an instinct for serving the song. His consistency, musicianship, and ability to lock into the groove provide a foundation that allows the rest of the crew to stretch out while keeping the music exactly where it belongs.
Behind the kit, Bill Legue completes the rhythm section with a powerful yet dynamic approach. Bringing energy when the music calls for it and restraint when it matters, Legue provides the pocket, feel, and musical foundation that tie the entire band together.
Dave Phillips provides keys and vocals, adding the textures, harmonies, and musical depth that have become an essential part of the band's sound. His versatility and musical instincts help bridge the band’s country foundation with its rock, blues, and pop influences.
