Tame The Rooster

Introducing Tame The Rooster, a dynamic and irresistible modern country band hailing from the heart of New York's capital region.  Rooted in country storytelling and driven by the energy of a full-scale live band, Tame The Rooster brings together seasoned musicians with a shared focus on chemistry, musicianship, and crowd connection. Their sound blends modern Nashville influence with a diverse range of influences, drawing from rock, country, blues, and pop to create a sound uniquely their own.

Michael Richardson, known locally by some as The Rooster, leads the band as founder, frontman, songwriter, and guitarist. A Nashville recording artist and seasoned performer, Richardson has shared the stage with nationally recognized artists including Reba McEntire, Randy Houser, Tyler Farr, Easton Corbin, Howie Day, and many others. While his experience and vision helped shape the foundation of Tame The Rooster, the band’s true strength comes from the chemistry and commitment of the full lineup.

Alongside Richardson, Hannah Estelle brings standout lead vocals, natural stage presence, and a contemporary country edge to the front line. Luke Pavlus delivers melodic lead guitar work with taste, grit, and precision while also contributing strong lead vocals that add versatility and depth to the band’s live performance. Dave Phillips adds keys, vocals, and musical depth, bringing texture, harmony, and a steady presence that have become central to the band’s sound. John DonVito anchors the rhythm section with steady bass work, strong vocals, and the kind of consistency that holds a great live band together.

From clubs to festivals and concert stages, Tame The Rooster delivers a modern country experience built on strong vocals, tight grooves, and the kind of live energy that keeps crowds engaged all night long.
